Jaz and husband Dougal use their Auckland home to finance their freedom.
They compete in regular sailing races around the world, and Houst look after the property whilst they’re gone. Phone or internet signal can be patchy at best on the wide open ocean, but they’re more than happy to leave the family home in the capable hands of their support team.
It’s been a wonderful experience with the money coming in. Letting a house that would normally be empty has given us an enormous source of income.
